Our church had a Women's conference this past Saturday night. I received a text message from the Associate Pastor mid-day on Saturday asking if I could come to the church at about 9:00 p.m. and help get everything set back up for Sunday morning service.
I replied and made my way over shortly after 9:00 p.m. As I was talking with our Associate Pastor he told me he sent out 20 individual text messages and had to stop after that cause his thumbs were worn out. That's when I said, "hey dude, we need to set you up on
Twitter. Further, we need to set up a church
Twitter feed for things such as this."
Twitter is free and is is a great way to communicate with a large group of people who share a common interest. This is especially true for churches, non-profits, civic organizations and such. Is your church using
Twitter? If so, how? Are you publicizing it? If so, how are you publicizing it?
Please chime in or tweet me direct
